Within the last two days thanks to the information given by the citizens to the Crime Stoppers team of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA), police officials of the Ministry of Interior of Zenica-Doboj Canton apprehended Č.S. (1974), H.N. (1984) and N.I. (1980) due to a possession of a considerable quantity of illegal weapons.
Search of the houses and facilities used by the apprehended persons in Zenica, resulted in discovery and seizure of two rifles M-48, rifle M-56 the so called "šmajser" with a metal cartridge and two bullets of 7,62 mm calibre, automatic rifle with wooden stock, semi-automatic rifle with 10 bullets in the rifle calibre 7.62 mm, two hand grenades F1 and M93 with fuse, four metal cartridges for automatic rifle, 544 rifle bullets of 7,62 mm calibre, five rifle bullets for hunting rifle of 12/12 mm calibre, 23 blank cartridges of 7,62 mm calibre, 20 rifle bullets of 7,9 mm calibre, five bullets for antiaircraft gun, six rifle bullets of calibre 8,57 and 7,9 mm, and bayonet for rifle M-48.
Upon criminal processing, collection of evidence and intelligence, the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office in Zenica will be submitted a report against perpetrators due to a grounded suspicion of having committed the criminal offence set out in the Article 371, Paragraph (1) of the FB&H Criminal Code (Illicit possession of Weapons or Explosive Substances).
