Visit to SIPA

Today (18/5/2015) - Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands HE Jurriaan Kraak and Head of the Diplomatic Office of Belgium to BiH Jean - Pierre Biebuyck visited the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) and met with the Director Goran Zubac, Deputy Director Đuro Knežević and Head of the Department for Fight against Terrorism and Trafficking in CBRN Amer Veiz.
The meeting discussed all aspects of SIPA work, its competence and role in the security system of B&H as well as the current security situation.
In a discussion with the Ambassador of the Netherlands, Director Zubac pointed out that SIPA priorities are fight against terrorism and financing terrorist activities with special focus on proactive and preventive actions, as well as organised crime, financial crime, corruption and war crimes. He informed the Ambassador that SIPA established a Special Team to Fight Terrorism which closely cooperates with partner agencies in B&H, region and beyond and that all human, material and technical capacities of SIPA are put into operation to fight terrorism. Zubac emphasized that particular goal is to equip, strengthen and train overall SIPA capacities in order to keep pace with time and preserve the safety of B&H citizens.
HE Jurriaan Kraak expressed his support to SIPA overall efforts in fighting the most complex types of crime. The meeting also agreed on future cooperation modalities.
