On 4 September 2012, during the activities with the aim of copyright protection, the State Investigation and Protection (SIPA) police officials seized circa 16.000 “pirated” image and sound carriers in the area of the Una-Sana Canton.

In searches at a dozen of residential and business premises in the area of Bihać, Velika Kladuša and Sanski Most municipalities, three computer units, two memory sticks and an external hard disk were seized in addition to the mentioned image and sound carriers.

Upon criminal and technical processing of the individuals with whom the “pirates” and computer equipment were found, SIPA’s police officials will submit a report on the committed criminal offence set out in the Article 243, Paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code B&H (Impermissible Use of Copyrights).

The action was carried out upon the order from the Court B&H, in cooperation with members of the Una-Sana Canton Ministry of Interior.
