UN Security Advisor Visited SIPA

Today (28/01/2015) – UN Security Advisor Cornelio Musinschi with his associates visited State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) and met with Director Goran Zubac.

Since it was the first visit to SIPA, they discussed all aspects of Agency’s work, its competence, organisational structure, modalities of cooperation with partner agencies in BiH and abroad, and the role of SIPA in the security system of BiH. Musinschi presented the competence and activities of the UN Security Department.

The meeting discussed the security situation in BiH with special emphasis on the fight against terrorism and exchange of information of mutual interest. In this context, SIPA Director Goran Zubac pointed out that SIPA continuously and in cooperation with other law enforcement agencies in BiH and the region, undertakes measures and actions within its competence to prevent, detect and evidence criminal offences of terrorism focusing also on preventive actions. He pointed out the importance of cooperation at all levels in B&H, with countries in the region, EU and beyond.

The meeting agreed modalities of future cooperation and information exchange.
