UN Peacekeeping Operation Training Completed – 11 SIPA Police Officials Participated

After completion of UN Peacekeeping Operation Training, there was a certificate awarding ceremony organised in the Peace Support Operations Training Centre (PSOTC) 15.3.2013 for 35 B&H police officials and six international police officials (from Albania, Croatia, Macedonia, Serbia and Sweden), who will be deployed in the future UN peacekeeping missions. The certificates were awarded by the B&H Minister of Security Fahrudin Radončić.
The training was attended by 11 members of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) and Nermina Jerković, SIPA inspector was selected as the best trainee from Bosnia and Herzegovina. The best foreign trainee was inspector Johannesu Modeeru from Sweden. The best trainee in the last year training held in the PSOTC was also a police official of SIPA.
48 police officials from Bosnia and Herzegovina out of which 12 are SIPA's members are currently being deployed in the UN peacekeeping operations.

The same day, B&H Minister of Security Fahrudin Radončić and B&H Minister of Defence Zekerijah Osmić, signed the Agreement in the area of training in the Peace Support Operations Training Centre in Butmir. The Agreement provides for the cooperation between the B&H Armed Forces, police officials and civil servants in B&H in the area of practical exercises, simulated operations, professional specialist trainings and cooperation in terms of mutual use of training resources
