Yesterday, 31.05.2011, police officials of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) apprehended two persons in Zenica-Doboj and Sarajevo Cantons where they founded and seized 1,5 kg of a speed-like substance and 950 ecstasy-like tablets.

Searching of houses, apartments and other facilities used by the apprehended persons resulted in recovery of two 7.62 mm automatic rifles with five loaded cartridges, 150 bullets of 7.62 calibre, 63 pieces of 7.62 mm calibre bulk ammunition, two hand bomb casings without initiators, hand bomb initiator, two pistols of which one is a Browning gas operated gun and the other is CZ M70 of 7.65 mm calibre, 7 mobile phones with SIM cards included, two digital scales as well as ten pieces of banknotes with denomination of 100 KM stemming from illicit trafficking and sale of drugs.

After criminal processing at SIPA premises, the apprehended persons will be handed over to the Prosecutor's Office, together with a report on the offence committed under Article 250 of the B&H Criminal Code (Organised Crime) and in connection with the Article 195 of the B&H Criminal Code (Illicit Trafficking in Narcotic Drugs).

Yesterday's action was conducted in cooperation with the police officials of Zenica-Doboj Canton.

In the following period, the State Investigation and Protection Agency will be carrying out the activities, falling under its competence, aiming at detection and prevention of the afore-mentioned criminal offences.
