Turkish Ambassador Visited SIPA

On 4 March 2014, H.E. Ahmet Yildiz, Turkish Ambassador in BH visited the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) and met with Goran Zubac, Director and Anđelko Hrgić, Assistant Director.

Since this was the first official visit of Ambassador Yildiz to SIPA, all aspects of the Agency’s work, its competence and role in the security system of BH were discussed at the meeting.

In the discussion with the Turkish Ambassador, the Director of SIPA pointed out that the Agency’s priorities were combating organised crime, terrorism, serious financial crime and corruption, as well as war crime. He presented results of recent operations by SIPA against these types of crime and pointed out that SIPA was an important counterpart in international operational cooperation against all types of organised crime.

H.E. Ahmet Yildiz expressed support to all state institutions and law enforcement agencies in BH and their overall efforts in combating the most complex types of crime and the need and willingness to connect all authorities in Turkey and BH, particularly in terms of terrorism, organised crime and corruption.

With reference to this, a next meeting was generally agreed with the aim of timely exchange of intelligence and information.
