Three Persons Apprehended, Large Quantity of Arms Found

February 23, 2010, police officials of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) deprived of liberty three citizens of Bosnia & Herzegovina in the region of Sarajevo, Kladanj and Zvornik and found a large quantity of arms and ammunition that are assumed to be intended for illegal market.

SIPA's police officials seized from the apprehended persons the firearms (10 small calibre pistols, 6 large calibre pistols, two hunting rifles, and an automatic rifle), hand grenades and large quantity of ammunition and objects that may originate from crime.

After hearing at SIPA premises, the arrested persons along with the report on perpetration of criminal offence set out in the Article 193 of the CC B&H (Illicit Trafficking in Arms and Military Equipment) will be handed over to the Prosecutor's Office of B&H by whose orders the action was carried out.
