The chief prosecutor, minister of security and heads of police agencies in B&H held a meeting

A meeting of the Minister of Security of BiH, the Chief Prosecutor of the BiH Prosecutor's Office and the Police Directors, dedicated to the security of the upcoming gathering in Srebrenica and the coordination of future activities related to the terrorist attack in Bugojno, was held in Sarajevo.
The main topics of the meeting were securing the upcoming anniversary marking the suffering of victims of genocide in Srebrenica, as well as further activities of the Prosecutor's Office and Police focused on detection and criminal prosecution of persons responsible for planning, preparation and execution of the terrorist act in Bugojno, and those suspected of accessory after the fact.
It was agreed that in order to secure the upcoming gathering in Srebrenica, all available options are to be taken as to ensure that this gathering, where top BiH officials, representatives of diplomatic corps in BiH, as well as presidents and top officials of several other countries are expected to participate, passes safely and without incident.
The Heads of Police Agencies in BiH presented their individual action plans on securing the upcoming gathering in Srebrenica and jointly concluded that no gathering, line-up or demonstration of any extremist individuals or groups of any ethnicity, aimed at disturbing the marking of the anniversary, shall be tolerated.
Moreover, any extremist and deviant behaviour of individuals or groups viewed as threat to safety or disturbance to the marking the anniversary shall also not be allowed. In order to ensure security one Prosecutor of the BiH Prosecutor's Office shall stay in the operational security headquarters in Srebrenica, during the marking of the anniversary together with the police officials.
The meeting also included presentations regarding the activities of police agencies aimed at detection and criminal prosecution of persons responsible for the terrorist act in Bugojno, as well as activities on detection of other various activities that may be related to terrorist activities in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The conclusion of the meeting is that the cooperation, coordination and exchange of information between police, judicial and security institutions with the aim of detecting, preventing and eliminating any terrorist and security threats to Bosnia and Herzegovina shall continue.
The meeting in Sarajevo was attended by an official of the European Union Police Mission (EUPM).
