Special Units Officers Prepare for the Most Difficult Tasks

On May 20th 2010 in cooperation with the European Union Police Mission (EUPM) in the former military barracks „Sarica“ in Banja Luka, a six-day training for 36 officers of Special Units of Entity Ministries of Interior and the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) Special Support Unit began.

The training consists of psychological and physical preparations of officers for the most difficult and demanding tasks. They are expected to adopt specific expert response techniques during the training.

Apart from experience and knowledge exchange within the security structures, the officers from B&H will undergo the most current training on operational techniques, self-defence and sniper activity, and their trainers will be German experts.

„We will try to train them as best we can to enable them to use their knowledge and experience as the future trainers“, said EUPM Adviser Robert Beczak for „Dnevni Avaz“ newspaper.
