Today, 28.3.2013, Goran Zubac, Director of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) held a meeting with the delegation of the Slovenian Ministry of Interior (MoI). The meeting was also attended by Goršek Janko, police attaché at the Slovenian Embassy in Sarajevo, as well as Vinko Dumančić, Director of the Border Police of B&H.
Discussion was about exchange of operational information and improvement of the existing successful cooperation between SIPA and Slovenian MoI. Police Helicopter Unit of the Slovenian MoI was presented at the meeting, which has had a long tradition and has been used for many purposes, mostly for police purposes, but also for humanitarian operations. Representatives of the Slovenian Delegation pointed out that this unit has proved itself as very useful for performing various tasks for the Unit for Combating Organised Crime. Goran Zubac, SIPA Director expressed his interest in the work of this Unit so that in the coming period SIPA may have applied a similar model after the formation of one such unit, which would be especially useful for the Agency in the fight against different types of organised crime and terrorism. Participants of the meeting expressed their gratitude for the very successful cooperation, and agreed on future cooperation directions.
This meeting has been another in series of the meetings confirming that the SIPA is an equal partner with the international police agencies.
