SIPA’s Woman Police Official Successfully Run 110 km Cappadocia Ultra Trail

A woman police official of the State Investigation and Protection Agency’s Criminal Investigation Department participated in a sports event held in Cappadocia in Turkey on 24 and 25 October 2015 that included 30 km, 60 km and 110 km trail races. This sports event gathered around 1000 runners from 34 countries, and our woman police official represented the Agency in the 110 km ultra-trail race with over 5500 m of difference in altitude and 3485 meters of ascent.

Due to short finish time, this race is for elite trail runners and recreational runners with excellent level of fitness, and it requires excellent spatial orientation skills and high level of autonomy because the runners carry the basic necessities (food, water) with them. The SIPA woman police official successfully ran this race which has made her entitled to three qualifying points for the prestigious Mont Blanc Ultra Trail Race. The race took place in an attractive landscape, protected by UNESCO and characterized by numerous world unique geological wonders.

SIPA is proud to have its female representative in this sports event for the first time this year, who has shown exceptional physical fitness and endurance and promoted the Agency in the best light.
