SIPA Team Wins “Play for Life”

Members of the Special Support Unit of SIPA took part at “Play for Life”, the charity indoor soccer tournament, held on 6 May 2013 at the “Juan Antonio Samaranch” Olympic Hall – Zetra, under the auspices of the British Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina and “Open Network” NGO.
Two teams from the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina and two from the Irish Guards, one team from EUFOR, SIPA, British Embassy and Open Network participated in the tournament. The SIPA team won the first place.


The entry to the tournament was free and participants and spectators had the opportunity to make donations. The collected funds will be used for the beneficiaries of the Open Network NGO.
Mr Goran Zubac, Director of SIPA, was satisfied with SIPA’s participations in this charity event and congratulated the Special Support Unit members on their win. We would like to thank the organisers for their invitation and support during the games. It would be our pleasure to participate in future similar events, said Mr Mirsad Vilić, Commander of SIPA’s Special Support Unit.
On 7 May 2013, members of the Irish Guard visited the headquarters of the Special Support Unit, where they were introduced to the work of the Unit, courses and trainings, as well as results achieved so far. Members of the Unit also demonstrated their shooting skills from various types of arms and segments of special operations and alpine tactics.
