SIPA SSU Members Completed Special Tactics Training

Five police officials of the SIPA Special Support Unit completed special tactics training, organised by the Slovenian Ministry of Interior in Gotenica Educational Centre in Slovenia in the period 4-8 October 2015.

The training programme was developed by instructors of Slovenian Police Special Forces “ENOTE“ while the members of the Austrian Special Operations Unit „Cobra“ also took part in delivery of the training.

The training covered the topics in the fields of special operations tactics, tactical intrusions, intrusion into buildings using climbing ropes, approach to a building with BOV vehicles, inspection of buildings by using night vision devices, etc.

The training was delivered in the framework of a successful cooperation with Slovenian MoI and the acquired knowledge and exchange of experience will further improve operational readiness of the Special Support Unit. 

Within the same period, a member of Operations Section of the SIPA Special Support Unit visited the Service Dogs Training Centre at the Slovenian Special Forces in order to learn more about their work. Future cooperation with SIPA was discussed as well as providing assistance in training service dogs handlers of the SIPA Special Support Unit.
