SIPA Seized Weapons in Cazin

  

On 11 April 2014, acting upon orders by the Municipal Court in Cazin, members of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) searched a residential building in Cazin, owned by H.B., due to grounds for suspicion of the perpetration of the criminal offence set out in Article 371 of the Criminal Code of the Federation BH “Illicit Possession of Weapons or Explosive Substances”.

During the searches, weapons and explosive devices (“Papovka” semi-automatic rifle with 10 bullets, hand grenade, pump rifle, clip with eleven 9 mm calibre bullets, frame for automatic rifle, eight bullets for Magnum handgun and clip with eight 7.65 mm bullets) were found and seized.

These activities were preceded by arrests of H.M. and E.B. in the Republic of Croatia for the criminal offence of attempted unlawful collection.

Based on the intelligence exchange between police authorities, parental houses of the mentioned individuals in BH were searched. The mentioned weapons were found in the house owned by the father of the suspect E.B.

Upon the finalisation of the activities within this case, the State Investigation and protection Agency will submit a report on the perpetrated criminal offence and perpetrators to the Bihać Canton Prosecutor’s Office.
