SIPA

On 24 March 2014, acting upon orders by the Court of BH and Prosecutor’s Office BH, police officials of the State Investigation and protection Agency (SIPA), in an operation code-named “Disk”, searched four sales premises and one residential building in Gradiška with the aim of supressing impermissible use of copyrights. These activities were carried out in cooperation with members of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of Interior.

The searches were carried out due to grounds for suspicion that the premises had been used for the perpetration of the criminal offence set out in Article 243 of the Criminal Code of BH “Impermissible Use of Copyrights”.

During the searches, 6.000 sound and image recording media suspected of being pirate were found and seized.

At the official premises of SIPA, four individuals were interviewed as suspects, against whom a report on the perpetrated criminal offence and perpetrators will be submitted to the Prosecutor’s Office BH
