SIPA Searched Facilities in Four Locations in East Sarajevo

Today (08/05/2016), police officials of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) searched facilities in four locations in the area of East Sarajevo.

After police officials of the Sarajevo Canton MoI prevented theft of a motor vehicle "BMW" the night before, when they arrested three individuals, police officials of SIPA searched facilities in four locations on the orders of the Court of B&H and the B&H Prosecutor's Office. These activities were carried out in cooperation with the B&H Border Police, Ministry of the Interior of the Sarajevo Canton and with the support of Ministry of Interior of the Republika Srpska.

The searches of movable and immovable property and the suspects were carried out due to grounds for suspicion that these individuals committed criminal offense under Article 250 of the B&H Criminal Code "Organized Crime", in conjunction with the criminal offense under Article 214 of the B&H Criminal Code "Smuggling" and Article 287 of the FbiH Criminal Code "Aggravated Theft". During the search, items that may serve as evidence in further proceedings were found and temporarily seized.

During the day, appropriate records and reports on activities will be submitted to the Court of B&H and the B&H Prosecutor's Office.
