SIPA Searched Business Premises in Sarajevo

  

Yesterday 13/05/2014 – Acting by the orders of the Court of B&H and Prosecutor’s Office of B&H, police officials of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) searched business premises (copy shop) in Sarajevo aimed at suppression of impermissible use of copyrights.

The search was carried out on suspicion of perpetration of the criminal offence under Article 243 of the CC B&H “Impermissible Use of Copyrights” and in conjunction with the Law on Copyrights and Related Rights in B&H. The search resulted in discovery and seizure of several copied books and textbooks by various authors and computer equipment.

A report on perpetration of criminal offence and perpetrator will be submitted against the liable person - owner of the copy shop to the Prosecutor’s Office of B&H.

SIPA continues the actions aimed at suppression of impermissible use of copyrights.
