SIPA Searched Buildings in Travnik and Derventa for Impermissible Use of Copyrights

  

Yesterday (3.6.2014) - Acting by the orders of the Court B&H and Prosecutor’s Office B&H, police officials of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) searched two business facilities in Travnik and Derventa on grounded suspicion of commission of criminal offence of impermissible use of copyrights. These activities were carried out under the case codenamed “Herbar” in cooperation with Central Bosnia Canton MoI and Republic of Srpska MoI.

The searches of business premises were carried out on suspicion that they, in these facilities, printed and put into circulation certain herbaria without signed copyright agreements and without permission of the author or other copyright holder or a person authorised to give approval,. The searches resulted in a discovery and seizure of a large amount of business documentation and 97 pieces of herbaria.

SIPA will in the shortest possible time, submit to the Court B&H and the Prosecutor's Office B&H a report on execution of the Court orders while the report against the suspects and perpetration of the criminal offence was previously submitted to the Prosecutor's Office B&H.
