SIPA Searched Buildings at Two Locations for War Crimes

On 24 April 2014, acting upon orders by the Court BH and Prosecutor’s Office BH, police officials of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) searched buildings at two locations in Goražde.

The searches were carried out due to grounds for suspicion of the perpetration of the criminal offence set out in Article 173 of the Criminal Code BH “War Crimes against Civilians” with the aim of finding items that could be used as evidence in further proceedings. During the searches, documents dated from the war were found and seized.

SIPA will promptly submit a report to the Court BH and Prosecutor’s Office BH on the execution of the order by the Court BH.
