SIPA Operation to Suppress Impermissible Use of Copyrights

Yesterday, 23/12/2013 – Acting by the orders of the Court of B&H and Prosecutor's Office of B&H, police officials of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) searched business facilities - copy shop owned by SD due to grounds for suspicion of having committed the criminal offence 243 of the CC B&H “Impermissible Use of Copyrights“. The activities were assisted by Herzegovina-Neretva Canton MoI.

The searches resulted in discovery and seizure of two computer central units and other items that may serve as evidence in further proceedings. By preliminary examination of the computers it was found that numerous textbooks and literature for primary, secondary and university education were stored on the computers.

SD was questioned as a suspect in SIPA premises and report on perpetration of criminal offence and perpetrator will be submitted to the Prosecutor’s Office of B&H.
