SIPA: MK Deprived of Liberty on an International Warrant

 Acting by an international warrant, police officials of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) apprehended the individual with initials MK (1980) in the area of Sarajevo.

With a view to arrest and extradition to the Republic of Serbia, NCB IP Belgrade issued an arrest warrant for MK for the murder of Ivan Cvetkovic in the night between 15 and 16 July 2012 in Belgrade and serous wounding of two individuals.

By taking measures and actions within its competence, the SIPA police officials located and placed under supervision the mentioned individual, who was arrested in a restaurant in Sarajevo today at around 1.00 p.m. in a swift action of SIPA.

Pursuant to the verbal orders of the Prosecutor's Office and Court of B&H, today's activities included also a search of facility in Sarajevo area resulting in detection and seizure of counterfeit documents of the Republic of Slovenia (ID card, driver license and passport). Another search of facility used also by this individual in the area of Mostar is underway.

After criminal processing at premises of the State Investigation and Protection Agency, the arrested individual will be handed over to the B&H Court for extradition procedure while the report against him will be filed with the Prosecutor's Office for the criminal offence committed under the Article 373 of the Criminal Code of FB&H “Counterfeiting of Documents”).
