SIPA

On 28 October 2014, Goran Zubac, the Director of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA), accompanied by Đuro Knežević, Deputy Director, Anđelko Hrgić and Mirza Lišinović, Assistant Directors and Jasmin Gogić, Head of Tuzla Regional Office, visited the Tuzla Canton Prosecutor’s Office. The SIPA Managers met with Tomislav Ljubić, the Main Prosecutor, his deputies and Fadil Šljivić, Commissioner of the Tuzla Canton Ministry of Interior. The Main Prosecutor Tomislav Ljubić expressed his satisfaction with the visit and welcomed the delegation of SIPA.

Modalities and directions for future cooperation in terms of joint activities were discussed at the meeting. It was concluded that the cooperation between these authorities was extremely successful and it would be continued. Successfully conducted previous operational activities were also discussed with regard to a joint role of police and prosecutor’s office in specific cases as a team, successfully working together in full capacity from initiation to finalisation, with the acknowledgment of their mutual competence. In this sense, the cooperation so far was evaluated as an extremely positive example.

The Director of SIPA, Goran Zubac, expressed the will for future cooperation, emphasised that SIPA was available for cooperation to these authorities and prepared to provide any type of support in the future work. He pointed out that SIPA worked in its full capacity and that it was prepared and capable to perform any task efficiently and professionally at any time. He also pointed out that the role of SIPA in the security system of Bosnia and Herzegovina was clear and that he was aware of the importance of cooperation with other law enforcement authorities, since desired results could be achieved only by joint work.

Tomislav Ljubić, the Main Prosecutor, agreed with these positions and emphases the importance of mutual synergy and respect. The Commissioner Fadil Šljivić said that a series of joint operations was an indicator of a very successful cooperation with SIPA, which is at the highest level and lasting for years.
