SIPA Management Board Held Meeting

Today (3/11/2014) - the SIPA Management Board meeting was held at the headquarters of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA), which was in addition to Director Goran Zubac attended by the heads of all SIPA’s organisational units.
The Management Board meeting discussed the results produced by the Agency, adoption of the new Rule Book on Internal Organisation of SIPA, improvement of discipline at work and other ongoing issues. It was concluded that the Agency has intensively worked in the previous period on the prevention, detection and investigation of criminal offences under its competence and that the overall performance results are very good.
Director Zubac expressed his satisfaction with the results achieved and reminded everyone that SIPA’s job is to conduct the most complex investigations and cases with special emphasis on combating terrorism, organised crime, serious financial crime and corruption, as well as war crimes expecting equally good results in the following period. He stressed that the SIPA officials will be rewarded based on the results achieved and dedication in their work, and that the results of the work will be the basic criterion for promotion in service.
The Management Board meeting discussed also strengthening overall investigative capacities and profiling the best personnel of SIPA as well as material – technical strengthening that will take SIPA to a higher qualitative level.
Director Zubac also expressed his satisfaction with the adoption of the new Rule Book on Internal Organisation of SIPA, as it will allow more functional performance of tasks and duties under the competence of the Agency and more efficient treatment of key issues in the area of terrorism, organised crime, financial crime and corruption as well as war crimes and other criminal offences provided for by the Criminal Code of B&H. Zubac concluded that all this will result in creation of a safer environment for all citizens of B&H, which is an obligation and main task of SIPA.
