SIPA Issued Denial to BN Radio and Television after Broadcasted Misstatements about SIPA

In an informative programme “Dnevnik 2” of the BN Radio and Television broadcasted on 23 May 2014, in a TV report by a journalist Radoje Tasić about the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA), a series of misstatements were stated about alleged arrests by members of SIPA in Višegrad Municipality, whereby the public was misinformed and damage was inflicted upon the Agency’s reputation.

Therefore, on 26 May 2014, with the aim to objectively and accurately inform the public, SIPA issued a denial to the BN Radio and Television with a request to publish the Agency’s reaction in the following news programme. We would like to note that before the broadcast of the mentioned report, the BN Radio and Television did not send a request to SIPA for a comment, respecting the basic press postulate – to hear the other side. A copy of the denial was also sent to the Communications Regulatory Agency of BH.

The denial of SIPA can be viewed here.
