SIPA in Greek Magazine “KAТАDROMI“

November/October 2014 issue of the Greek magazine “KAТАDRОМI“ published an article about the Special Support Unit of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) titled “Anti-Terrorist Unit of Bosnia and Herzegovina” authored by Zoran Milošević. “KATADROMI” is a specialised magazine focusing on military and Special Forces, their trainings, exercises and equipment.
For the purpose of writing this article, journalist Zoran Milošević visited the Special Support Unit and spent a day with its members.
The article, published on 8 pages, says, among other things, that the SIPA Special Suport Unit is known for numerous interventions, primarily arresting suspects of war crimes and other serious criminal offences. Also, it quotes that the Unit has become an important segment within the security system of B&H in a relatively short period of time and that its members have demonstrated their skills, high level of professionalism and determination in numerous situations while performing the most complex high-risk tasks.
The article also deals with some concrete operations of the Unit, its establishment, competence, trainings, exercises, equipment and weapons as well as international cooperation. In that context, it says that the Unit has achieved a successful cooperation with numerous elite Special Forces in the region and beyond such are: Serbian SAJ and PTJ, French RAID, Italian GIS, Austrian COBRA, Turkish Ozer Herekat, US Air Marshal, Hungarian TEK and many others.
