SIPA Found around 10 Tonnes of Tobacco Leaf in Grude Municipality

Today (23/2/2016), police officials of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) found around 10 tonnes of tobacco leaf in the area of Grude Municipality. SIPA investigators, under the supervision of the Prosecutor’s Office B&H, conducted on-the-spot investigation and took other measures and actions within its competence.

Around 45 boxes and 20 bales of tobacco leaf wrapped in aluminium foil were found. The activities were carried out in cooperation with police officials of the West Herzegovina Canton MoI and B&H Indirect Taxation Authority. The intensive activities in this case continue to reveal the origin of the tobacco and shed light on this case. After the completion of the activities in the field, SIPA will submit the report to the Prosecutor’s Office B&H.
