SIPA Fifth Generation Cadets Sworn In

Today (01/04/2016), 20 SIPA’s cadets took solemn oath before the B&H Minister of Security, Dragan Mektić, in the premises of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) in East Sarajevo, which marked their official beginning of work in SIPA in the rank of junior inspector.

After enduring rigorous selection, within the competition procedure, cadets have successfully completed four-month basic police training for acquiring the rank junior inspector, conducted by the Agency for Education and Professional Training.

Minister of Security, Dragan Mektić, said today that the new police officers are expected to work professionally and diligently and in accordance with the challenges and the standards required by this responsible and challenging profession. "The uniform and badge you wear brings you a great responsibility. Do not allow anything to besmirch your honor, damage the reputation of the Agency in which you work and the country you serve," said Mektić.

SIPA Director, Perica Stanić, in his address to the cadets, said that is a great honor and responsibility to be an employee of SIPA and told them that they are expected to perform the job of a police officer lawfully, professionally and honestly and to always be at the service of citizens. He expressed hope that SIPA will, in the coming year, employ another generation of cadets and thus further strengthen the personnel capacity of this Agency.

Apart from the Minister of Security and the Director of SIPA, the ceremony was attended by the heads of organizational units of SIPA and the directors of the police agencies in B&H.
