SIPA Female Employees Participated in Gender-Responsive Budgeting Training

Female employees of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) participated in the training on gender responsive budgeting and implementation of the Council of Ministers Action Plan for the implementation of the UN Resolution 1325 “Women, Peace and Security” in Bosnia and Herzegovina, which was held on 3-4 November 2015.

The training, organised by the Agency for Gender Equality B&H and Ministry for Human Rights and Refugees B&H, was delivered as part of the activities planned under the Action Plan and was financially supported by the B&H Office of UN Women.

The training was attended by 30 representatives of the institutions and agencies involved in the implementation of the Action Plan. The training highlighted the importance of the Resolution 1325 and based on the recent Global Study on the Implementation of the Resolution 1325, inclusiveness, transparency and sustainability of peacekeeping processes can be ensured only through participation of women in decision-making in security forces.
