SIPA Employees Apprehended One Person in Prijedor

On July 1st, 2009 police officials of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) detained one person in Prijedor, based on a grounded suspicion that he committed a criminal offence from Article 172 of the Criminal Code of B&H "Crime Against Humanity" in the area of Travnik and Kneževo municipalities (Skender Vakuf) in 1992.
During the action, a search of residential premises owned by the detained person was conducted as well, and documentation was found related to the war time period.
Upon a criminalistic processing at the State Investigation and Protection Agency's premises, the detained person will be handed over to the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina for further procedure.
The police action was carried out in cooperation with employees of the RS Ministry of Interior, pursuant to the orders of the B&H Prosecutor's Office and the Court of B&H.
