SIPA Director Met with FBI Representatives regarding Training for Investigators

Today (25/06/2014) - Director of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) Goran Zubac met with Anna Holden, FBI Counter-Terrorism Financing Unit Chief and Luis Quesada, US Embassy Legal Attaché.

The reason for this meeting was the training organised by the US Embassy in SIPA in the period 23/6 -06/27/2014. The training is intended for investigators working on terrorism investigations and the topic is Terrorism Financing and other important aspects of this type of crime.

In addition to SIPA members, the training is attended by members of Border Police BH, Intelligence Security Agency BH, Republika Srpska MoI, Brčko District Police and Foreigners Affairs Service. Following completion of the training on Friday 27/06/2014, the participants will be awarded participation certificates.

The training is organised with the aim of further enhancement of cooperation in the fight against terrorism and is delivered by FBI counter-terrorism financing experts.

The FBI representatives emphasized their satisfaction with the cooperation with SIPA. They also pointed out that SIPA was doing an excellent job in the fight against crime and that they were looking forward to the future cooperation.

Director Zubac thanked for the support in strengthening SIPA operational capacities having stated that SIPA investigators acquire the best practices through this type of trainings as reflected in the quality of their work. He also pointed out that the Agency would render good results.
