SIPA Deprived SM of Liberty for War Crime

This morning (8/12/2015), acting upon orders of the Prosecutor’s Office B&H, police officials of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) deprived the individual identified by initials SM in the area of Sarajevo for war crime.

The individual SM was deprived of liberty due to grounded suspicion of having committed the criminal offence under Article 144 of the CC of SFRY “War Crime against Prisoners of War”, criminal offence under Article 143 of the CC SFRY “War Crime against the Wounded and Sick” and criminal offence under Article 142 of the CC SFRY “War Crime against Civilians” by omission to act in the wide area of Vozuća during 1995 all in conjunction with Article 30 Paragraph (2) and Article 48 of the same law. The apprehended individual is a high-ranking official of the Army of B&H, who is charged with command responsibility for criminal offences committed by his subordinates.

After criminal processing on SIPA premises, the apprehended individual will be handed over to the Prosecutor’s Office B&H for further proceedings.
