SIPA Deprived SH of Liberty on International Wanted Notice

Today (24/4/2015) - Acting upon an international wanted notice, police officials of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) deprived the individual identified by initials SH (1970) of liberty in the area of Tuzla.

The NCB Interpol Zagreb issued the wanted notice for SH with a view to his/her arrest and extradition to the Republic of Croatia on the suspicion of having committed the criminal offence of certification of false matter.  

The NCB Interpol Rome subsequently issued the wanted notice for the same individual and his extradition to the Republic of Italy due to illicit trafficking in drugs, where he was sentenced to imprisonment of 18 years and 7 months in his absence.

This individual was deprived of liberty by SIPA on 06/01/2015, when he was found with false identity documents for which he was prosecuted by the relevant court and prosecutor's office, as well as for perpetration of criminal offence of certification of false matter and document counterfeiting in B&H.

The conditions for his deprivation of liberty were met since the international warrant for this individual remained in force and his false documents and B&H citizenship were revoked.

During the day, the individual identified by initials SH will be handed over to the Court B&H for further proceedings and his extradition.
