Today (7/5/2015) – Police officials of the State Investigation and Protection Agency deprived the individual identified by initials BI of liberty in “Kvarc” Operation in the area of Tuzla while searches of one location and vehicle aimed at detecting and seizing items, which can serve as evidence in further proceedings, are underway. These activities were conducted upon orders of the Court B&H and Prosecutor’s Office B&H.

The individual BI was deprived of liberty due to grounded suspicion of having committed the criminal offence under Article 380 Paragraph (2) of the CC FB&H “Accepting Gifts and other Forms of Benefits” with the intention to acquire illegal material gain as an official of the Federation by demanding and accepting a certain sum of money to perform within the scope of his/her official powers an act, which ought to be performed by him/her.

The “Kvarc” Operation was preceded by complex months-long criminal investigation which resulted in documenting unlawful activities of the suspect in this case.

The arrested individual will be brought to Tuzla Regional Office of SIPA for criminal processing, after which his/her status will be decided upon instructions of the acting prosecutor.
