SIPA Carrying out Operations “Coral” and “Tango” in Sarajevo Area

Early this morning (8/10/2015) – Police officials of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) started two parallel operations codenamed “Coral” and “Tango” in Sarajevo area. Over 100 police officials of SIPA are in the field.

In “Coral” Operation, ten individuals were deprived of liberty due to grounded suspicion of having committed the criminal offence under Article 342 of the CC B&H “Organised Crime” in conjunction with criminal offences of tax evasion, endangering security, obstructing official in performing official action, damaging another person’s property, aggravated theft and organising resistance, while the prime suspect have been brought into connection with incitement to prostitution.  Searches in 10 locations are underway aimed at finding and seizing items that may serve as evidence in further proceedings.

These activities are carried out upon orders of the Sarajevo Cantonal Court and Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor’s Office and are result of months-long investigations conducted by SIPA investigators under the supervision of the Cantonal Prosecutor’s Office.
