SIPA Arrested Two Individuals Suspected of Murder in the Netherlands

This morning (16/03/2015) – Police officials of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) arrested two individuals identified by initials NK (1976) and IK (1984) in the area of Zenica and Gradiška and searched buildings in two locations with the aim to detect and seize items that may serve as evidence in further proceedings.

These activities were carried out upon orders of the Court B&H and Prosecutor’s Office B&H and at the request for mutual legal assistance made by the Kingdom of the Netherlands in the case related to international organised crime and drug trafficking, which had resulted in deprivation of life of one individual in the Kingdom of the Netherlands.

The individuals identified by initials NK and IK were brought into connection with the criminal offence of murder in a manner that they acquired and delivered the weapons for commission of this crime. These individuals are formerly known to police authorities as they were brought into connection with criminal offences related to international illicit drug trafficking.

Cooperation with members of the Security Intelligence Agency was established in this case.

Following criminal processing in SIPA premises, the arrested individuals will be handed over to the Prosecutor’s Office B&H for further proceedings.
