SIPA Arrested Two Individuals in Čajniče for War Crimes

Today (16/10/2014) – Acting upon orders of the Court BH and Prosecutor’s Office BH, police officials of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) arrested two individuals in the area of Čajniče for war crimes and searched buildings in four locations.

The individuals with initials SJ (1944 ) and MJ ( 1972) were deprived of liberty due to grounded suspicion of having committed the criminal offence under Article 173 paragraph (1) of the CC BH „War Crime against Civilians“ against Bosniaks in Čajniče Municipality in 1992, in conjunction with Article 180 of the CC BH "Individual and Command Responsibility" and Article 29 of the CC BH "Co-perpetration" .

The arrested individuals will be brought to SIPA premises for criminal processing after which they will be handed over to the Prosecutor’s Office BH for further proceedings.
