SIPA Arrested Two Individuals for War Crimes

Today (17/10/2014) – Acting upon orders of the Prosecutor’s Office BH, police officials of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) arrested two individuals for war crimes in the area of Istočno Sarajevo.

The individuals with initials SJ (1960) and MJ (1963) were arrested due to grounded suspicion of having committed the criminal offence under Article 173 paragraph (1) of the CC BH „War Crime against Civilians” against Bosniak victims in the area of Čajniče Municipality during 1992 and in conjunction with Article 180 of the CC BH “Individual and Command Responsibility” and Article 29 of the CC BH “Co-perpetration”.

Following criminal processing in SIPA premises, the arrested individuals will be handed over to the Prosecutor’s Office BH for further proceedings.
