SIPA Arrested SH on an International Wanted Notice

Yesterday (6/1/2015) - Acting upon an international wanted notice, police officials of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) arrested the individual identified by initials SH (1970) in the area of Sarajevo.

The NCB Interpol Zagreb issued the wanted notice for SH with a view to his/her arrest and extradition to the Republic of Croatia on suspicion that this individual committed the criminal offence of certifying a false matter.

The Republic of Italy has also issued an international wanted notice for this individual in the European Union for criminal offence of organised crime and in conjunction with the criminal offence of illicit trafficking in narcotics.

The deprivation of liberty was carried out on the basis of reports from citizens, after which the police officials of SIPA located and put under the supervision the individual, who was arrested in the area of Sarajevo yesterday. The documents in a false name were found with SH.

Following establishing the identity and criminal processing in the premises of the State Investigation and Protection Agency, the arrested individual was handed over to the Court B&H last night for further extradition procedure.

SIPA continues the activities in this case to shed light on all the circumstances related to residence of this individual in B&H territory and possession of false documents.

This operation is a result of partnership between the police and citizens as well as a good indicator of B&H citizens’ confidence in the SIPA.
