SIPA Arrested 13 Individuals for War Crimes

In early morning hours on 1 September 2014, acting upon orders by the Court BH and Prosecutor’s Office BH, police officials of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) arrested 13 individuals for war crimes in Teslić, Doboj and Derventa.
Searches of buildings at several locations are underway with the aim of detecting and seizing items that might be used as evidence in further proceedings. These activities are carried out in cooperation with members of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of Interior, Zenica Doboj Canton and Central Bosnia Canton Ministries of Interior.
A.B., M.S., M.Đ., D.K., P.M., M.P., D.Ć., D.M., D.S., S.G., P.S., V.D. and Z.Š. were arrested due to grounds for suspicion of having committed the criminal offence set out in Article 172 of the Criminal Code BH “Crimes against Humanity” against Bosniak and Croat victims in Teslić and Doboj area in 1992.
The arrested individuals will be brought to the official premises of SIPA and criminally processed, whereupon pursuant to instructions by the acting Prosecutor from the Prosecutor’s Office BH, it will be decided about their further status.
