In the Search of the Passenger Motor Vehicle Found 20,500 BAM Suspected to be Counterfeit

Today (11/17/2015), police officials of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) searched motor vehicle used by a person identified by initials VV (1962), in the area of Bosanska Krupa, due to grounds for suspicion of having committed criminal offence under Article 205 of the B&H CC „Counterfeiting of Money”. During the search, 20,500 BAM in denominations of 100 BAM, which are suspected to be counterfeit, was found and temporarily forfeited.

In addition, SIPA police officials searched the family house and ancillary facilities in the area of Bužim municipality, used by the mentioned individual. During the search, additional evidence was found.

These activities were carried out on the orders of the B&H Prosecutor’s Office and the Court of B&H, with the aim of detecting and temporarily forfeiting items that may serve as evidence in further proceedings.

Individual identified by initials VV was apprehended and will be brought to the premises of the SIPA Regional Office in Banja Luka for criminal proceeding. Thereafter, the person, along with the Report on the Grounds for Suspicion on the Criminal Offence, will be handed over to the B&H Prosecutor’s Office for further proceedings.
