SIPA Apprehended Two Individuals for War Crime

This morning (6/11/2015), acting upon orders of the Prosecutor’s Office B&H, police officials of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) deprived two individuals of liberty for war crime in the area of Trebinje and Bileća.

The individuals identified by initials MG (1964) and IĐ (1971) were deprived of liberty due to grounded suspicion of having committed the criminal offence under Article 172 paragraph (1) of the CC B&H “Crime against Humanity” in the area of Bileća Municipality during 1992, in conjunction with Articles 29 and 180 of the CC B&H.

The activities to detect and apprehend another suspect, who is at large, are underway.

Acting upon orders of the Court B&H, SIPA investigators searched facilities used by the suspects to detect and seize items that may serve as evidence in further proceedings.

The apprehended individuals will be brought to SIPA premises for criminal processing after which they will be handed over to the Prosecutor’s Office B&H for further proceedings.
