SIPA

 Acting by the orders of the Court of B&H and Prosecutor’s Office of B&H, police officials of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) searched facilities in several locations within “Vozač” operation in the area of Ugljevik, Lopare and Bijeljina and apprehended three organised crime suspects.These activities were assisted by the members of MoI of RS.

The individuals with initials VT, JA and GS were apprehended due to grounds for suspicion of having committed the criminal offence under the Article 250 of the CC B&H “Organised Crime“, and in conjunction with the criminal offence under the Article 195 of the CC B&H “Illicit Trafficking in Narcotic Drugs“ and criminal offence under the Article 189 of the CC B&H “Smuggling of Persons“.

Today’s searches of facilities, vehicles and persons resulted in detection and seizure of objects that can serve as evidence in further proceedings (mobile phones, SIM cards and one automatic rifle). The apprehended individuals were brought to the premises of SIPA’s Tuzla Regional Office and following the criminal processing it will be decided on their further status as per instructions of the competent prosecutor.

Within the activities in this case and as result of the intelligence exchange, members of the Croatian MoI apprehended two individuals at the beginning of October this year due to smuggling of persons.
