SIPA apprehended four individuals for war crimes committed in Donji Vakuf

15/11/2017 - Acting upon the orders of the Prosecutor’s Office of B&H, police officials of the State Investigation and Protection Agency apprehended four individuals for war crimes on the territory of Mrkonjić Grad and Prnjavor this morning.

The individuals concerned were apprehended on the grounds for suspicion of having committed a criminal offence of War Crimes against Civilians (set out in Article 173 of the CC of B&H, in conjunction with Article 180 of the CC of B&H) on the territory of Donji Vakuf in 1995.

Upon the orders of the Court of B&H, SIPA police officials are conducting searches of premises at five locations on the territory of Mrkonjić Grad, with the aim of detection and temporary seizure of assets that may serve as evidence in further proceedings.

The apprehended individuals will be brought to the official premises of SIPA for criminal processing, after which they will be handed over to the Prosecutor’s Office of B&H for further proceedings.
