SIPA Apprehended Five Individuals for War Crime

This morning (02/01/2016), acting on the orders of the B&H Prosecutor's Office, police officials of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) apprehended five individuals for war crime in the area of Ljubuški, Široki Brijeg, Čapljina and Mostar. The individuals identified by initials MH (1949), IM (1952), MN (1962), TR (1971) and JM (1968) were apprehended due to grounds for suspicion of having committed criminal offense under Article 173, paragraph (1) of the B&H CC "War Crimes Against Civilians", during 1992 in the area of Čapljina.

Acting on the orders of the Court of B&H, SIPA investigators searched the premises used by the suspects with the aim of finding and the seizure of items that may serve as evidence in further proceedings.

The apprehended individuals will be brought to SIPA premises for criminal investigation. Thereafter, the individuals will be handed over to the B&H Prosecutor’s Office for further proceedings.
