SIPA Apprehended Drug Dealers, Drugs and Weapons Confiscated

On 3 March 2012, police officials of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) in the area of Bugojno, Tomislavgrad, Posušje and Mostar apprehended six members of an organised group distributing narcotics in the territory of BH, and a considerable quantity of drugs and weapons was confiscated.
In the searches at the premises and cars used by the apprehended persons, 910 g of heroin, 7.62 mm automatic rifle, four automatic rifle frames, “Browning” handgun, two shot guns, 857 automatic rifle bullets, 62 shot gun cartridges, nine mobile phones with SIM cards, 100g of “skunk” and a car were confiscated.
Six Drug Dealers Apprehended Drugs and Weapons Confiscated
The apprehended persons H.M. (DOB 1976), F.Š. (DOB 1971), E.Đ. (DOB 1973), B.J. (DOB 1982), A.K. (DOB 1975) and B.B. (DOB 1990), two of whom are citizens of the Republic of Montenegro, smuggled around 26 kg of marijuana into BH so far, which was documented by the operative work of SIPA’s police officials.
On 4 March 2012, these persons, along with a report on the committed criminal offence set out in the Article 250 of the Criminal Code BH (Organised Crime) in conjunction with the Article 195 of the Criminal Code (Illicit Trafficking in Narcotics), were handed over to the Prosecutor’s Office BH for further processing.
The latest successful action by the State Investigation and Protection Agency, with the aim of breaking an international drug smuggling chain, was carried out upon the order from the Court BH with the assistance from officials of the Border Police BH, Herzegovina-Neretva Canton Ministry of Interior, West Herzegovina Canton Ministry of Interior, Central Bosnia Canton Ministry of Interior and Herzeg-Bosnia Canton Ministry of Interior.
The State Investigation and Protection Agency would like to express gratitude to its partner organisations contributing to breaking the international organisation smuggling narcotics into BH, and similar activities will be continued in the future.
