Today (20/5/2015) – Minister of Interior of Republika Srpska Dragan Lukač and Commander of Special Police Unit Dragan Ribić visited the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) and met Director Goran Zubac. The meeting was also attended by Deputy Director Đuro Knežević and Acting Commander of SIPA Special Support Unit Jovica Mirosavljević.

The meeting discussed all aspects of work of police authorities as provided for by the law with particular focus on the activities on suppression of terrorism and financing of terrorist activities with a view to strengthen and improve cooperation. The need for cooperation between all relevant authorities in B&H was underlined as well as continuous exchange of intelligence and information at all levels in order to provide a joint response to this global phenomenon, all with the aim of ensuring a safe environment for all citizens of B&H. The importance of strengthening overall material, technical and investigative capacities of police authorities was highlighted in order to keep up with times and be able to respond to all security challenges and primarily to act proactively and preventively.

The participants of the meeting also expressed their satisfaction with the current cooperation between police authorities and agreed on specific directions of future cooperation.
