SIPA and BKA Continue Cooperation

On May 11th, 2010 the High Delegation of the Federal Criminal Police Office of Germany (BKA), during a visit to B&H institutions, visited the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) with the aim of elaborating cases for which there was a successful direct cooperation between these two police agencies.

The Agency's Director Mirko Lujić introduced the six-member delegation, led by the BKA Vice President Jürgen Maurer, with SIPA's capacities for implementation and assistance in investigation, its brief history and organisational structure.

During the two hour meeting, a number of active investigations were presented in which there was a direct international and inter-agency cooperation, primarily in the area of crime in relation to illicit drug trafficking and unauthorised sale of weapons and military equipment.

The SIPA's management promised to employ all its capacities to additionally enhance its cooperation with other police agencies in B&H and abroad, particularly in the area of transnational crime.

At the meeting BKA was represented Peter Henzler the Head of the Severe and Organised Crime Division, Klaus Wittling the Head of the State Protection Division, Michael Niemeier the Head of the International Cooperation and Lydia Dietzen Officer, who thanked SIPA for their cooperation and assured it would be continued.
