SIPA & American University in B&H Signed Cooperation Agreement

Today (20/1/2016), State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) and the American University in Bosnia and Herzegovina (AUBiH) signed a Cooperation Agreement on SIPA premises. The Agreement was signed by the SIPA Director and President of the AUBiH. The SIPA Deputy Director Đuro Knežević and representatives of the AUBiH Esmir Ganić and Migdat Hodžić were also present for the signing of the Agreement.

The Agreement is an official beginning of the cooperation between SIPA and AUBIH, which will be realised in the future through joint projects for the purpose of science research and professional development, training and development of AUBIH students, organisation of specialized training courses for SIPA members, round tables and other forms of cooperation. Joint scientific research aimed at using new technologies and modern working methods in specific areas, and improvement of the performance of SIPA were also discussed.

The Agreement envisages the visits of the American University in B&H to SIPA and delivery of lectures in organised crime, terrorism and other types of crime within SIPA competence, within which SIPA investigators will present some case studies.

The signatories of the Agreement expressed their mutual satisfaction with the official beginning of the cooperation between the institutions, which will be of mutual interest, while some concrete projects will follow soon.
