Seven Persons Apprehended, Large Quantity of Arms and Military Equipment Found

Yesterday, September 26, 2010, police officials of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) arrested seven persons in Livno, Bihać and Cazin due to grounded suspicion of having committed the criminal offence set out in the Article 250 of the CCB&H (Organised Crime) and in connection with the Article 193 of the CCB&H (Unauthorised Trade in Arms and Military Equipment) and the Article 373 of the CCFB&H (Document Counterfeiting).

During the course of the search, large amount of automatic rifles, bazooka, rifle ammunition as well as a certain amount of explosive, computers, mobile equipment and mobile phones were found and seized from the apprehended persons including a citizen of the Republic of Croatia.

Today, September 27, 2010, after the criminal processing in SIPA premises the apprehended persons along with the report on perpetration of criminal offence were transferred for further processing to the Prosecutor’s Office of B&H, on whose orders the operation was carried out.
